Dear Cindy – When a Job Post Says, "Send Résumé to …"

Dear Cindy:

I'm new to looking for a job, and I have a really basic question. When a job says, "Send résumé to …" do they mean just a résumé? What about a cover letter? Shouldn't I send one?

Yes. Also send a cover letter with your résumé unless the ad specifically says not to send a cover letter.
