The resort area of Bay Shore is located on Long Island's Great South Bay, within the Town of Islip, in Suffolk County. Established in 1708, and once known as the "Garden Spot of Long Island," Bay Shore became a popular tourist destination after a ferry service to Fire Island was established in the mid-1800s. Today, Bay Shore is also home to a major station for the Long Island Rail Road. Residents like to think of Bay Shore as a quintessentially American community, and one that can draw on both a picturesque waterfront and a wealth of historic buildings. Evening concerts at the Bay Shore Community Band Shell are a regular event, and the community has in recent years invested in the redevelopment of its Main Street. Nearby parks include Bay Shore's own Gardiner County Park and the Robert Moses State Park. See our 0 Jobs in Bay Shore, New York Websites for this CityGovernment: Weather:
