Located in the Miami River Valley in west central Ohio, Dayton is a bustling city of 166,179.

Home to the Wright-Patterson Airforce Base, the city's largest employer, Dayton has a particular affinity to the field of aviation and its history. Wilber and Orville Wright owned an operated a bicycle shop in Dayton before they became famous as the fathers of flight, and the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park pays tribute to the early history of their breakthrough. Dayton also hosts the annual Vectren Dayton Air Show.

For those who love the arts, Dayton has its own opera, ballet, and philharmonic orchestra. The Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center is home to all three, and also acts as a venue for local, national, and international performing artists. The Dayton Art Institute has been in operation for over 85 years – its permanent collection and visiting exhibits showcase the works of artists from around the world.
