Downers Grove is a village located in northeastern Illinois, just 23 miles (37 kilometers) west of Chicago. It is part of DuPage County, and is home to 48,724 residents.

The Downers Grove Park District manages a variety of excellent facilities, including an ice arena, recreation and fitness center, community center, golf course, and 48 parks. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy a guided tour of the Belmont Prairie Nature Preserve or explore the 150-acre (61-hectare) Lyman Woods at their leisure. The park district also manages a museum, which interprets local history through a series of permanent and changing exhibits. Want to combine your love of history and sports into one?
