Foley, Alabama

Foley is a planned city of 7,590, which was founded just over 100 years ago. Foley located in southern Alabama's Baldwin County, approximately 10 miles (16 kilometers) inland from the Gulf Coast. Foley is set 30 miles (48 kilometers) west of Pensacola and 36 miles (58 kilometers) southeast of Mobile.

Residents have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the area's warm, sunny climate. The 7,000-acre (2,833-hectare) coastal Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge is a great place to get out and explore area wildlife, including migratory birds and sea turtles. Those with kids who want to see more animals can head for the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, located a short drive south of town in Gulf Shores. Meanwhile, golfers can check out more than a dozen courses in the vicinity.

Foley also has numerous community events for the entire family to enjoy, including a Mardi Gras parade in February, a Festival of Flowers in the spring, the Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival in June, concert and movie series in Heritage Park during spring and summer months, Harbor Heritage Days in November, and more.
