The 5,000 residents of this close-knit community spend their time participating in a variety of programs and activities at the Friendship Heights Community Center or strolling in scenic Friendship Park. And with a free shuttle bus service – drivers are prohibited from accepting tips – that stops at every major residential building, the community and shopping center, and the rail service (which takes you directly into downtown DC), Friendship Heights is definitely a "friendly" place to be.
