Baldwin Museum and the restored Train Depot.

Looking for a way to entertain the kids? Take them to see the 2,500 dolls and dollhouses on display at the Angela Peterson Doll and Miniature Museum, or explore the 10-acre (four-hectare) cornfield maze at Maize Adventures. Budding naturalists can see butterflies at all stages of development at the All-A-Flutter Butterfly Farm, and the Piedmont Environmental Center offers nature exhibits and miles of hiking trails near High Point City Lake.

The High Point Theatre is one of the city's cultural gems, and offers plays, performances, and art exhibits all year round. The theater also hosts the annual North Carolina Shakespeare Festival from September to October. Musical entertainment is provided by the High Point Community Concert Association, which sponsors concerts by regional and international artists. Jazz saxophonist John Coltrane (1926–1967) was one of High Point's most famous former citizens, and he is honored by a commemorative marker and an eight-foot (two-meter) bronze statue.
