With a population of 113,288, Independence has everything that you need. Visitors come to see the Truman, frontier trail, and Mormon heritage sites as well as the historic homes, the multiple museums, and Independence Square – the center of the historic city, which is lined with old-style boutiques and eateries. It's said that every American should visit the city at least once to learn about their country's heritage, but you can live here, in the idyllic shade of the large trees that shelter the old homes.

For even larger city conveniences and more active nights out on the town, you can leave the neighborhood and go to nearby Kansas City. But once you are here, you will probably not want to go far from this small city that perfectly mingles the past with the present.
