Westminster, Colorado

The City of Westminster is located in central Colorado, just nine miles (14 kilometers) north of downtown Denver. It straddles the border between Adams and Jefferson counties, and is home to 100,940 people.

Westminster offers a number of unique sights and attractions. The Westminster Promenade is a business and entertainment district that invites you to "stroll and play." Among its many attractions are shops, performance venues, outdoor cafés and restaurants, sculptures, and a lake and hiking trails. The Butterfly Pavilion and Insect Center is a wonderful family attraction, and features more than 1,000 live butterflies along with a fascinating insect exhibit. For a dose of local history, visit the Bowles House Museum, an 1876 Italianate home that once housed a family of 11.

Local family-friendly attractions include mini-golf, laser tag, bowling, an equestrian center, and Skate City Westminster. For a great evening's entertainment, head to the Wits End Comedy Club, or check the North Metro Arts Alliance for the latest concerts and cultural events.
