Cortney Davis, MA, RNC, APRN

Cortney Davis, a nurse practitioner in women's health, is the author of I Knew a Woman (Random House), which won the Center for the Book's 2002 award for non-fiction. Davis's poetry collections include The Body Flute and Details of Flesh. Her most recent collection, Leopold's Maneuvers (University of Nebraska Press), won the 2003 Prairie Schooner Book Prize. Co-editor of two anthologies of poetry and prose by nurses, Between the Heartbeats and Intensive Care (University of Iowa Press), Davis has been awarded an NEA Poetry Fellowship and two Connecticut Commission Poetry Grants.
