The Bermuda Hospitals Board is an independent private sector organization with a Bermuda Government approved board and an Executive Director. It is responsible for the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital as well as the St. Brendan's Hospital for psychiatric care. The population of Bermuda is only 60,000 persons. Due to the island's geographic isolation and its high standard of living which is fueled by its tourism and international business, our community demands that the Board provides a range of health care services that is greater than what is frequently expected of an institution that serves a similar population base.
