Miramichi Regional Health Authority operates the
Miramichi Regional Hospital, four health centers
located in Neguac, Blackville, Baie Ste.-Anne,
and Rogersville, and the Extra Mural Program. Miramichi
Regional Hospital opened December 15, 1996. The
167 bed, state-of-the-art hospital provides the
following acute care patient services: Emergency
Services: 24-hour Emergency Department, Emergency
Medical Services (Ambulance), Patient Care Units,
Acute Care Nursing Units (Concentrated Care, Medical/Palliative
Care, Medical Step-Down, Surgical, Obstetrics/Gynecology,
Restorative Care, Pediatrics, Psychiatry and Addictions),
Surgical Suite (O.R., Day Surgery and Day of Surgery
Admission), Clinical and Therapeutic Services,
Diagnostic Imaging, Laboratory, Cardiopulmonary
and Respiratory, Rehabilitation Services (Occupational
Therapy, Physiotherapy, Audiology, Speech Language
Pathology, Recrealogy), Counseling Services (Social
Work, Psychology), Pharmacy Services, Clinical
Nutrition, Outpatient Clinic Department, Addiction
Services, Corneal Retrieval/Donation program, Support
and Administrative services. The Health Centres
provide access to physician services in the local
communities of Baie Ste.-Anne, Blackville, Neguac
and Rogersville. The Extra Mural Program is a unique
and innovative program in New Brunswick, which
provides nursing and associated health care services
to patients in their homes. The mission of Miramichi
Regional Health Authority is to provide and promote
quality inpatient, outpatient, and community health
services.

Employee Benefit Program Insured Benefits:
As a full time or part time employee with Miramichi
Regional Health Authority, you are eligible
to participate in the Insured Benefit Program
as offered by the Province of New Brunswick.
Eligibility in the program varies for the different
bargaining groups as well as the status of
the employee (full time or part time). The
program includes the following benefits: Group
Life Insurance (Basic coverage, Supplementary
coverage, Dependent Life); Accidental Death.
Some candidates may also be eligible for relocation

The picturesque city of Miramichi is located
in northeastern New Brunswick along the beautiful
Miramichi River. The city, with a population
of approximately 56,000, offers a quality of

Blackville, Neguac, Rogersville, and the city

clubs and arenas. The world renown Miramichi
River is famous for salmon fishing and offers

interesting coves and beaches are added attractions
as are the wooded areas that create a backdrop
for hiking, biking and cross-country ski trails.
