Lakeland Regional Medical Center is a private,
non-profit facility that has served Lakeland and
surrounding Central Florida communities for more
than 80 years. With a Level II Trauma Center equipped
with state-of-the-art technology, life saving equipment
and a dedicated chest pain management team, Lakeland
Regional recognizes the importance of our role in
contributing to the health and well-being of the
community. Our facility is fully accredited by the
Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations,
is licensed for 851 beds and has some of the most
comprehensive and sophisticated care available. We
offer technology and care not usually seen in a community
the size of Lakeland.
Lakeland Regional stands apart from other major hospitals in Polk County and from the larger hospital systems due to its focus on both advanced care and technology. Our facility was the first in the region to offer open heart procedures, including less-invasive robotic surgery. Our Heart Center is the largest and most comprehensive in the county and our Heart Team is composed of some of the Southeast?s most talented cardiovascular surgeons, electrophysiologists and cardiologists who perform more than 9,000 procedures per year.
Our Cancer Center offers unparalleled care, and is the area?s first dedicated, comprehensive center of its kind, offering coordinated, integrated and accessible care. Lakeland Regional?s Cancer Program is now the fifth largest in Florida and definitely one of the most respected, not only for its renowned staff of oncologist and surgeons, but for its understanding and treatment of female reproductive cancers. Careers that inspire you!
At Lakeland Regional Medical Center, we understand and believe in the importance of work and life balance, leadership development and continued education. Our hours are flexible and learning opportunities are extensive. We even have our own Corporate University.
The facility?s Corporate University includes an advanced cardiac program which utilizes cutting edge skills technology and skilled professionals to keep our participants up-to-date. The Corporate University also includes certification courses for Nursing and Allied Health. Students in our School of Radiologic Technology learn by working with the most advanced diagnostic equipment available today. They also experience ?hands-on? situations and participate in helping diagnose interesting and varied cases.
In addition to our opportunities to learn and a great work environment, new employees are assigned mentors during their first 30 to 90 days as part of our Ambassador program. This one-on-one interaction helps ensure a smooth onboarding process between Lakeland and our new employees.
