Saint Joseph Health System, central Kentucky's largest

More than 129 years ago, the
Sisters of Charity of Nazareth planted strong roots
in Lexington and began a ministry of healing that
we continue today as a member of Catholic Health
Initiatives , one of the largest health care delivery
systems in the nation. Fundamentally, we are inspired
by the work of our founding sisters and their healing
ministry. It's a legacy that we intend to continue
on a daily basis.
Our seven hospital facilities,
Saint Joseph Hospital, Saint Joseph East, Saint Joseph
- Berea, Saint Joseph - London, Saint Joseph - Martin,
Saint Joseph - Mount Sterling, and Saint Joseph Berea,
provide care to more patients every year than any
other hospital in the area. The tremendous work by
our Associates, physicians and volunteers has garnered
countless awards for quality and patient satisfaction.
But we do not intend to rest on these laurels.
We are growing and expanding so that we may continue
the mission of our founding Sisters. We are updating
our facilities and adding the latest in technology
at all seven hospitals; and we plan to open Saint
Joseph - Jessamine, the first medical facility of
its kind in Jessamine County, in early 2009.
