Today’s Speech from the Throne has signaled the government’s direction for the 40th Parliament. The Canadian Healthcare Association is pleased to see the continuation of health and social transfers to the provinces and territories and the commitment to further the work of the Mental Health Commission of Canada. We welcome the planned investments in innovation and research as these investments not only help strengthen health care, but also boost our competitiveness and productivity.

The Canadian Healthcare Association looks forward to a collaborative relationship with Prime Minister Harper, Cabinet, and all members of this 40th Parliament and to achieving appropriate solutions to the ongoing issues in funding and delivery of timely and high quality services to Canadians.

CHA partners with several national organizations to produce high quality and informative professional development opportunities. Please visit Events to learn more about the 2009 CNIE International Conference and the National Healthcare Leadership Conference 2009.
