Company: Pimakslirvik – Pimakslirvik Corporation Provides Residential Care for Children/Adults with Special Needs and serves the Residents of Nunavut

Description: LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSES - TERM EMPLOYMENT (4) MONTHS 12 hrs. shift
DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICE WORKERS - TERM EMPLOYMENTS (6) MONTHS 8 - 12 hrs. shift

NEW GRADS WELCOME

Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program or a diploma in Developmental Service Program. (Equivalencies will be considered.)

Licensed Practical Nurses must be eligible for registration in Nunavut. Registration fee reimbursed by Employer.

Medication Administration course required. Experience preferred.
Current BCLS certification - Level C

Three Professional references required.

Demonstrated good patient assessment skills. Related patient assessment course is preferred.
Ability to work effectively in a team and as a team leader.
Able to respond to Emergency situations and rapidly changing priorities.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated positive communication, interpersonal and team building skills.

Rate of Pay :
Licensed Practical Nurse - $ 23.21 - $26.32 plus $7.00/hr.Northern Allowance

DSW - $15.44 - $23.83 plus $7.00/hr. Northern Allowance

Rates of pay based on experience and qualifications.
Subsidized staff accommodations provided, shared with other staff members.

A job offer contingent upon a Satisfactory Criminal Record check.

The successful candidate will be required to obtain a Medical Clearance
