Description: The Churchill Regional Health Authority is currently accepting applications for the position of Director of Clinical Services & Chief Nursing Officer.


Under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Clinical Services & Chief Nursing Officer will be responsible for participating in the development and implementation of primary health programs and services based on the Vision, Mission Values and Board ENDS of the Churchill Regional Health Authority. You will also oversee the daily activities associated with acute care, long term care, medical and dental clinic, health records, pharmacy, public health, home care and EMS as well as being a member of the senior management team. This position will take part in facilitating and chairing a number of committees and will require some travel.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of an approved nursing program plus completion of Baccalaureate Degree in nursing (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.)
• Minimum 5 years experience in a management position.
• Experience working with acute care, community services and healthy communities' environments.
• Eligibility for registration with the Manitoba Association of Registered Nurses.
• Excellent computer skills required.
• Proven leadership ability and outstanding communication skills required.
• Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to manage effectively in a unionized environment a definite asset.
• Experience working in a culturally diverse workplace
