Job Details: Vascular Surgery Opportunity

Description: An opportunity to practice in a small community in close proximity to Lake Huron and located approximately 40 minutes north of Detroit.
A two-member, well-established private practice in Port Huron has an opening for a BE/BC vascular surgeon to meet increased needs in patient volume and expansion of services. This is an opportunity to practice in a small community in close proximity to Lake Huron and located approximately 40 minutes north of Detroit, one and half hours from Ann Arbor, two and half hours from Toronto and 3-4 hours from Northern Michigan. The practice sees approximately 80-100 outpatients, 5-6 inpatients and performs close to 20 vascular and endovascular surgeries per week. Physicians round on their own patients, including consults. Ancillary services available are a non-invasive lab and PVR. Billing is done on site; payor mix is mostly Medicare, Blue Cross, BCN, some commercial and HMO products all on a Fee For Service Basis with no capitation. Office hours are Monday through Friday 9 - 4:30; two days each week are scheduled for surgery. Call is 1:4. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited medical school have successfully completed training in an accredited Vascular Surgery residency program and meet the requirements for medical licensure to practice in the state of Michigan.
