One Year Contract Strategic Planning & Transformation Support Vancouver, British Columbia The Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) plans, manages and evaluates selected specialty and province-wide health care services across BC, working with the five geographic health authorities to deliver province-wide solutions that improve the health of British Columbians. Reporting to the Corporate Director, Transformation Support, in this position you will be responsible for direct management of medium to large, high-priority projects. Serving as a principle point of contact and stakeholder liaison, you will enable performance improvement and excellence in service while ensuring the appropriate allocation of resources and capacity for PHSA initiatives. Most projects have a significant technology component, and you will be expected to communicate these project needs to user groups who are impacted by changes as a result of new projects. In addition, you will contribute to the development of project management and capacity via direct participation in key initiatives, and you will also coach project managers through the project lifecycle to ensure optimum coordination and integration of organizational project objectives. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of project management methodologies, processes and tools, taking into account the unique nature of a health care environment involving multiple sites and multi-disciplinary stakeholders. Additionally, you will work closely with the Strategic Planning & Transformation Support team and senior staff to identify realistic projects for organizational improvement and alignment with overall strategic goals. You possess a Master's degree in Business Administration, or equivalent, along with seven years of related project management experience with medium to large scale, cross functional implementation projects. Your broad understanding of project design, principles and techniques is complemented by expertise with change management and process improvement initiatives. With advanced analytical and problem solving skills, you are adept at developing progressive, creative and innovative enterprise-wide solutions, as well as managing multiple project integrations within a fast-paced, multi-site environment. Your exceptional facilitation skills and ability to build consensus allows you to assume a consultative approach with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. You must be comfortable communicating your objectives and recommendations to a variety of audiences. Proficiency with related office and project management software and tools, and the ability to manage changing priorities and resource constraints will ensure your success in this critical role. PMP certification from the Project Management Institute is preferred.
