Job Description: The successful candidate must work harmoniously in a demanding and diverse environment. The Clinical Assistant will act as the Child and Adolescent Services liaison between the client's home and school environments to ensure that successful implementation of treatment plans occur. The clinical assistant position will also decrease the access to service barriers by providing transportation to those clients and their families for whom transportation is a problem. Responsibilities: • School and home observations of children. • Liaison between CAS and the Department of Child and Family Services. • Transportation of clients for CAS appointments. • Maintaining statistical database. • Completing the initial contacts for intakes. • Co-facilitating groups with trained therapist. • Making collaborative contacts with schools on behalf of clinicians. • Supporting the Psychiatric Medical Officer by scheduling and following up clients. • Oversee the clients in the waiting room at CAS as required. • Facilitating special interests group session in the Day Programme. • Providing coverage for the Teacher Assistant • Assisting with supervision of children in day hospital during breaks. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or a related field. • 1-2 years working with children and families. • A working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. • Public speaking required.
