Family Medical Center offers a patient centered culture and encourages you to participate in clinic governance. There is a large established patient base as well as the opportunity to become a shareholder after your first year. No primary call for Pediatricians. The Family Practice physicians provide initial coverage. The hospital emergency room coverage provides triage to patients and the FPs handle admissions as necessary. The Family Medical Center is the largest multispecialty group in the region encompassing 50,000 residents. The group is comprised of: 18 physicians (10 FPs, 2 + 1 new IMs, 1 PED, 2 OBGYNs, and 2 GS) and 4 mid-level practitioners. Six FPs and 2 OBs deliver 240 babies annually. Group sees approximately 400 patients daily. Clinic adjoins the hospital for easy access. The cost of living is below most cities in the region. The Twin Cities metro is less than a 2 hour drive from Little Falls if you need a dose of big city entertainment. The clinic has close ties to CHI-St. Gabriel's Hospital which recently completed a $27 million expansion and replacement program including a 67,000 square-foot patient care addition with all private patient rooms. The hospital has a medical staff with over 50 physicians (covering most specialties). CHII-St. Gabriel's collaborates closely with Family Medical Center.
