Regular Full-time Vancouver, British Columbia The BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) provides provincial and national leadership in public health through surveillance, detection, prevention and consultation and provides both direct diagnostic and treatment services to people with disease of public health importance. The BCCDC is an agency of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), which plans, manages and evaluates selected specialty and province-wide health care services across BC. Divisional Operations Leader, Epidemiology Regular Full-time Vancouver, BC Providing operational and strategic leadership for the Epidemiology division, you will collaborate with Division Leaders and other BCCDC Divisional Operations Leaders in a multi-disciplinary environment of changing priorities. You will develop multi-year business and strategic plans, gather and use information such as service utilization, workload statistics and financial data. Providing financial leadership, you will coordinate and lead budgeting and cost control. The Division will look to you for operational support and administrative leadership, including in supervision, fiscal accountability and the development and implementation of operational programs, policies and procedures. You will develop job descriptions, recruitment initiatives, and oversee training for the Administrative area. You have a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as Business Administration and at least five years of experience in an operational management/leadership role that includes developing, implementing and evaluating operational and strategic plans. A tested leader, you demonstrate competence in operational leadership, financial administration and planning, and human resource leadership. Proficient with computers, you are able to use a wide variety of software, including spreadsheets and databases.
