The Assistant Administrator
of Nursing and Clinical Services reports to the Chief
Executive Officer and will provide leadership for all
nursing and clinical areas and is an integral member
of the self-directed executive team. This position
is responsible for developing and monitoring appropriate
indicators for quality and continuous improvement,
managing the operation of the department including
people resources, budget and finance, short and long
range strategic planning, legal and regulatory compliance,
and customer satisfaction. Qualified candidates will
have previous or current hospital management experience.
A BSN is required and a master's degree is preferred.
The
not-for-profit, critical access hospital includes 25
acute, 10 distinct skilled, and eight behavioral health
beds. With an active medical staff of family practice,
surgical, psychiatric and ear, nose and throat physicians,
the hospital meets a wide range of medical needs. The
medical staff of over 35 physicians works together
to provide many primary healthcare services that include
a 24-hour emergency department, diabetes education,
home care/hospice, obstetrics, radiology, cardiac and
pulmonary rehab, occupational, physical and speech
therapy, orthopedics, telemetry, as well as wound,
ostomy and continence care.
The community of
7,500 residents are able to take advantage of great
natural resources, an excellent school system, recreational
facilities, and affordable housing in addition to a
variety of business and industries. The town boasts
nearly 100 acres in seven beautiful parks and a new
recreation center. Students score above state and national
averages academically and a very high number participate
in a wide variety of extra-curricular activities. Two
18-hole championship golf courses, swimming pool, tennis
courts, hiking trails, a brand new YMCA, camping, fishing,
and boating are only a sampling of local recreational
activities. The city is only one hour from Des Moines
and Omaha.
