Job Details: Central Sterile Manager

Description: Central Sterile Manager-Full time-Days-Chippenham Campus
The Central Sterile Manager is responsible for the following job duties: (included but not limited to)
Manages assigned staff to include interviewing, hiring and counseling to achieve optimal departmental
operations.
Supervises the decontamination, packaging, distribution, and storage processes.
Maintains effective communication with co-supervisors, CSS staff, Director and customers.
Supervises, trains, and orients staff to policies/procedures.
Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills.
Demonstrates comprehensive job knowledge.
Maintains Departmental documentation including: schedules for the Central Sterile department, all CSS
related quality assurance data, and annual performance evaluations for his/her staff.
Participate as an effective leader on the surgical services' Management Team.

Qualifications-
Experience:
Required - Three - Five years of CSS/Operating Room experience.
Preferred - Previous supervisory experience.

Education:
Required - RN/LPN. Certification as a CSS technician with 1-year experience, if applicable.
Preferred - College degree.
