Description: McNairy Regional Hospital is seeking Admitting Clerk, Patient Registration Representative!
Description

Conducts patient interviews to obtain registration information, complete required forms and obtain signatures. Represents hospital as the focal point for all initial communications.
Primary function is to accurately register patients who present to McNairy Regional Hospital. The registration consists of obtaining demographic data, insurance information and verification of insurance. Also you will obtain signatures for consent to treat, clergy consent, advance directives, if participating in a research program. Interacts with all customers in a professional and courteous manner.

Qualifications

Education:

* High School diploma or GED

Experience/Skills:

Familiarity with medical terminology and knowledge related to multiple insurance requirements are necessary to perform the functions of this position.

Use of computer to fulfill essential functions of job required

Customer service experience desired

Medical office experience desired

Ability to type 35 word per minute desired
