Job Details: Patient Registrar-Portage Hospital Campus-Part Time-Day and Evening Shift

Description: Great Opportunity at Haywood Park Community Hospital!
Processes the admission/registration function for the patient. Interacts directly with the patient/family member to complete accurate information to ensure payer reimbursement. Obtains all billing information needed to submit electronic claims. Issues Advanced Beneficiary Notice when indicated. Initiates the insurance verification process. Collects monies due from patients for deductible amount or self pay portions prior to services rendered.

Must be available to work both the day and the afternoon shifts including rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

Education:
-High School diploma or GED

Experience/Skills:
-Preferred applicant will possess knowledge of medical terminology and have prior experience in a health care setting.
