Job Details: Clinical Dietitian

Description: Participates on interdisciplinary teams and committees as a department representative. Assumes responsibilities of director as directed or in her/his absence.

Assists director in planning, implementing and evaluation of all services and programs of work for the department. Coordinates and supervises all nutrition service operations (having direct supervision of other Clinical Dietitians &/or Diettic Technicians), performance improvement program and special projects as assigned. Assists director in initiating, controlling and substantiating the budget and financial process. Resolves staff and patient problems and acts as an interdepartmental liaison.

Education:
Bachelors' degree from an accredited school with a major in nutrition preferred. Completion of ADA approved Dietetic Internship or other pre-approved program. Thorough knowledge of nutrition and dietetics. Advanced degrees, specialty certification and ability to speak Spanish are desirable.

Experience:
Desirable characteristics include a proficiency in written and verbal communications, possess ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public. Must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards when no directions re given. Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress. Knowledgeable of food preparation, therapeutic diets and sanitation. Must possess computer skills. Must be able to supervise and direct employees. Must have a clear understanding of administrative requirements.

Certifications / Licenses:
Registered Dietitian, through the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Licensed Dietitian in Oklahoma.
