Job Details: Registered Nurse -Emergency Dept.

Description: Responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients throughout the organization in the assigned departments on a 24 hour basis.

Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for the patient seeking emergency care based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization vision and mission. Utilizes knowledge of patient's age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
1. An Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited university or college. [Diploma Required].
2. Current Indiana Registered Nurse license required.
3. ACLS required upon hired or within 6 months of employment.
4. CEN, CCRN preferred.
5. 1-2 years critical care or Emergency department experience preferred.
6. CPR certification required upon hired or within 3 months of employment.
7. ENPC/TNCC required upon hired or within 12 months of employment.

Experience:
-Previous nursing care experience not including student nursing clinical experience preferred.
-One year experience staff RN preferred.
-Previous ED experience preferred
-One to Two years of nursing experience in a Emergency -Department Setting preferred.
