Description:
Billings Clinic, a MAGNET designated, regional
health care foundation in Billings, MT, comprised of
a 225-physician multi-specialty clinic, a 272-bed Level
II trauma hospital, and a 125-bed long term care facility.
The
Clinical Nurse Specialist will create an environment
of excellence which supports clinical inquiry to support
clinical outcomes utilizing evidence-based standards
and guidelines of practice. The Clinical Nurse Specialist
will assume a leadership role in the areas of professional
practice, staff development, education, and quality
management. Responsible for applying in-depth knowledge,
competencies and skills in a clinical specialty and
ensuring clinical competencies for nursing practice.
Develops, teaches, coordinates and evaluates educational
programs in collaboration with the leadership team.
Functions as a leader and change agent through direct
and indirect patient care, consultation, clinical nursing
research, program planning and education of patients,
families, and personnel. Analyzes health care practices
to improve patient care and outcomes. Expertise is
utilized in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Establishes goals and priorities in accordance with
patient and staff needs and organizational objectives.
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS
• Masters degree in nursing
with a concentration in a related clinical specialty
preferred
• Two (2) years nursing experience
specific to clinical specialty
• Current RN
licensure in state of Montana and/or Wyoming as appropriate
to area served
• Certification in specialty
•
Basic Life Support Certified (BLS); ACLS may be required
in certain specialties
• Or an equivalent combination
of education and experience relating to the above tasks,
knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered
