Job Details: Registered Nurse - OR

Description: Greenbrier Valley Medical Center has the perfect mix of friendly people and high tech care.
Provides professional nursing care to patients during the perioperative period. Performs the role of circulating nurse: assesses patient status, maintains a safe care environment, manages equipment use and delegates/directs care provided by OR Technicians, nursing assistants and other assistive personnel. Performs role of scrub nurse when necessary. Maintains continuing competency in administration of medications and IV fluids. Demonstrates competencies in general practice and on operation and monitoring of surgical equipment. Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. Responsible for directing, coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. One-year medical/surgical experience required, previous Operating Room experience preferred. Current RN Licensure in WV and BCLS and ACLS certification required.

Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Certifications / Licenses:
- Current WV Registered Nurse license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) Certification
- Current ACLS Certification

Experience:
- At least one year experience
